We designed our original Pull-up Phonics International Alphabetic Code Chart as a display banner for exhibitions and for teacher-training purposes. For years teachers have asked us if they could ‘get one’ and, sadly, we have been slow to respond.
We are delighted to say that we now provide a choice of Pull-up or Hang-down plasticised charts for schools to buy.
Both types of plasticised charts actually show two versions of the Phonics International ‘Giant’ Alphabetic Code Charts side-by-side. The left-hand version has large-sized graphemes in sections which show the colour-coding of the programme (12 Units of work each have their own colour-coded webpage and colour-coded resources) and the right-hand version provide pictures to enhance the example words for the graphemes (letters and letter groups).
The Pull-up and Hang-down charts are identical – it is just the mechanism of displaying them which is different. The Pull-up chart is a standard ‘banner’ which is commonly used for its portability. The Hang-down chart has four metal eye-lets to secure the chart on a wall.
