Everyone at the Reading Reform Foundation conference fell in love with Anne Glennie and were particularly wowed by her short talk - see the second video embedded here:

It is the saddest irony that the Government in England was influenced by the Scottish 'Clackmannanshire' research (Johnston and Watson) and yet Scotland itself remains largely eclectic (not systematic synthetic phonics) in its approach to reading instruction.
