For a good introduction to my rationale and the Phonics International programme, you could start with watching the embedded video near the top of the PI homepage:
https://phonicsinternational.com
The embedded video complete with 'course notes' via the link below delves deeper into the 'Simple View of Reading', references the teaching of English as an additional or new language, refers to the design of some of the core resources of all three of my 'DfE-validated' phonics programmes (Phonics International, Floppy's Phonics published by Oxford University Press, and No Nonsense Phonics), and includes the phonics 'hand routines' for reading and spelling and the 'Teaching and Learning Cycle':

You will find that I make clear which are the 'core and essential' Phonics International resources - and once you have accessed all the teaching and learning resources via the 'PI PROGRAMME INDEX', you will find the 'How to set up and use your core and essential Phonics International resources' guidance near the top of every Unit of resources (of 12 Units).
The starting point for your adult phonics training and information is to visit the link below and watch the short video describing the differences and uses of our free overview Alphabetic Code Charts - this is so important in my opinion:
https://alphabeticcodecharts.com/free-code-charts/
The Alphabetic Code Charts are at the heart of your understanding - indeed to be shared with everyone including young learners - so please do make sure you watch that short video and follow the advice to compare the complex English alphabetic code with the much simpler Spanish alphabetic code!
You can find 'the sounds' via the Alphabetic Code Charts site as there is a great 'audio' chart where you select which sounds and words you would like to hear:
https://syntheticphonics.com/the-englis ... ith-audio/
We also have a page via the PI site where you can see videos of me 'saying the sounds' as the various spelling alternatives and words are flagged up here:
https://phonicsinternational.com/hear-the-sounds/
We developed the No Nonsense Phonics programme from the mother-programme 'Phonics International' and this provides hard-copy, pick-up-and-go streamlined and extremely easy to use Pupil Books and Teacher Books for busy teachers, parents and tutors. Please bear in mind that the hard copy resources we provide under the No Nonsense Phonics umbrella can also be used with Phonics International - and vice versa! This is our one-page online catalogue listing our hard-copy resources - you may wish to supplement the free Phonics International resources with, for example, ready-made Flash Cards which are much easier to use than printing off and laminating the pdf flash cards provided via the PI website. See:
https://nononsensephonics.com
Now, because No Nonsense Phonics and Phonics International share the same 'order' of introducing the letter/s-sound correspondences (PI goes a bit further than NNP), and because they have the same 'key picture-words' as seen on the Alphabetic Code Charts, this means that any information and training videos for NNP also have relevance for my overall rationale and ethos of programme and resource design. That is why you will also find some embedded videos on the PI site for NNP. You will find the full range of NNP information and training - which is all free (in an era when other SSP programmes often charge a fortune), see here:
