Literacy specialist and consultant, Abigail Steel, has written these easy-to-use workbooks for secondary-aged pupils who have code gaps and weaker phonics skills for reading and spelling.

These resources are wonderful for secondary schools to use to help any struggling readers (and there are many!)

This is just a reminder that the Phonics International resources can be used with secondary children to great effect if it is code-based learning and practice they need whether for spelling or reading and spelling. They can also provide great resources for practising fully joined handwriting which is a skill that many secondary learners have not achieved - or been taught well enough!
