Feedback from Skype 'staff meeting' training for handwriting

Post by debbie »

Now that we offer Skype (or equivalent online provision) for 'staff meeting' training, I was asked to provide an event for 'handwriting' (that is, not 'phonics' on this occasion).

We didn't know how helpful a Skype training event might be for 'handwriting' but we received this feedback from the first-ever handwriting staff meeting:

Hi Debbie

Thank you very much for today - really positive feedback and everybody found it really useful.

One teacher said you had 'changed her life' as she never thought she would be able to join but has been practising and now can. 😊

People liked that you discussed the rationale behind the ideas and we have used some of what you said with parents today - all the year 6 got the booklet to practise and discuss with parents at home.
So, we shall now offer 'handwriting' training via our online training service which at the time of writing this post is via 'Skype'.

I look forward to hearing how this whole school moves forwards with teaching handwriting and fully joined handwriting from Year 2.

See the 'bespoke' training featured at the top of this page. This is a much less expensive way to receive training and support than face to face INSET training:

The next-best thing to having the ‘real Debbie’ in your school is to interact with her via a ‘Webinar’. Click HERE for details
