I thought I'd flag this up just in case anyone is interested in being a literacy teacher in a Tasmanian school!
Literacy teachers needed in every Tasmanian school

One in two Tasmanians aged 15 to 74 are functionally illiterate and more than half are functionally innumerate. This means they don't have the basic skills to cope with the modern world, like reading their prescriptions or filling out forms. The Grattan Institute's Dr Ben Jensen says there needs to be specialist literacy and numeracy teachers in every single Tasmanian school.
