Here is the new National Curriculum for English in England.

Bit of a typing mistake in it - 'diagraph'!

The word is 'digraph' meaning a letter group consisting of two letters which are code for one phoneme (smallest identifiable sound in speech which changes the meaning of a word; e.g. /b/ /oa/ /t/ compared to /k/ /oa/ /t/).
