Color in the Sounds Books as Summer Resource for kids

Post by jennie »

With the time spent on the Sounds Activity Sheets, Spelling, and sentence reading, etc., teachers may not have time left over for utilizing the Color-in-the-Sounds Books. But what a lovely resource!

I have found that they are an excellent "parting gift" for the Summer. The pages with the code the children have learned can be put into a 3-ring binder. The students, even the older ones, think this is great fun.

Jennie - what a lovely idea - thank you for that!

I think other resources can make a good summer holiday gift as well - for example, the Spelling Sheets available in units 1 to 6 made up into stapled booklets.

I recommend that these are used 'following' a unit - or at the beginning of the 'next' unit.

So, for example - unit 2 is complete, then do the Spelling Sheets for unit 2 whilst unit 3 is being introduced.
